Tour this historic mansion, built in 1886 after a devastating fire destroyed the Pre-civil war stone mansion on Dec 9, 1884.  Learn about the famous architect, the congressmen, senators, and judges that lived and visited there. Connections to President Abraham Lincoln. An international murder scandal – pitting brother against brother.  Largest landowner and canal promotor of Lewis County and northern Herkimer county; 3 sisters who cared to preserve the Adirondacks prior to the formation of the Adirondack Park and one sister’s “sleeping fish”.  Oh, and did we mention the Titanic?
